Berlin - some good ART&CULTURE

MUSEUM FÜR FOTOGRAFIE - HELMUT NEWTON FOUNDATION
A big part of this museum is dedicated to Helmut Newton (1920-2004), a great jet-set photographer who shot stars, models for Vogue/Playboy/..., many mode-shootings and advertising. In the permanent display "Helmut Newotn's private property" there are many biographical pictures of the artist, as well as many of its works that reconstruct its life and its career. There are also short film-documentaries about some shootings that are vvery interesting to discover what is behind a "good" picture (for example a mode-shootin with Claudia Schiffer).
The current exhibition is dedicated to the photographer Alice Springs, which real name is June Newton and was the wife of Helmut. She begun her career in the early 1970s and concentrate a big part of her work in portraits of famous (like Brigitte Nielsen, Mapplethorpe,...) and less famous people that are very intense.
